Call for Nominations: 2012 Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program for Women (ELAM) »
Harvard Medical School (including its affiliated health care institutions) has been invited to nominate up to two candidates for the 2012 Hedwig van Amerigen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program for Women (ELAM), a faculty development program for women leaders in academic medicine. ELAM offers an intensive one-year program of leadership training with extensive coaching, networking and mentoring opportunities aimed at expanding the national pool of qualified women candidates for leadership in academic medicine, dentistry and public health.

Three HMS Instructors Receive Burroughs Wellcome Career Award »
Three Harvard Medical School instructors were among the ten scholars chosen as recipients of the 2011 Burroughs Wellcome Career Award for Medical Scientists. The Harvard recipients were Douglas Kwon, MD, PhD, Instructor in Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Joshua Shulman, MD, PhD, Instructor in Neurology at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Duane Wesemann, MD, PhD, Instructor in Medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
